WHO WE ARE
CARRIE TENGLER STUART
Owner . Bodyworker . Esthetician . Yoga Instructor
Carrie has lived in San Pedro since December 31st, 2000 moving here from Salt Lake City, Utah. She met her husband, Oliver, a tour-guide and dive instructor (www.caribeantoursbelize.com), on a vacation she took with a girlfriend at the beginning of 2000. The island (and boy) cast a spell and she decided to lay down some roots. Carrie couldn't leave her entire family so she brought her younger sister, Charlene, with her. In 2002, Carrie and Charlene began Sol Spa on the first floor of a friend's residence. The business grew and Carrie decided to move the space to Vilma Linda Plaza where the spa stayed for six years. During this time, Carrie had the great opportunity of helping open Aura Spa & Boutique (www.auraspaforthespirit.com) in Park City, Utah allowing her to once again, delve into her creative side by co-developing a space for healing and relaxation. In 2008, another wonderful opportunity presented itself… for Sol Spa to move to the beautiful, modern resort called The Phoenix. Where it has happily been ever since.
Carrie graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy in June of 2000 with over 800 hours of training. She traveled to western Belize in March 2005 to learn the Maya Abdominal Massage from its founder, Dr. Rosita Arvigo. She's also been teaching yoga since 2002. Her style is a slow flow, focusing on form and in finding a deeper connection with your spiritual and emotional self. Carrie practices all of her techniques at the spa and whenever she travels. When she's not at the spa… Carrie enjoys spending time with her family, including her son, Charlie, friends and black lab, Diego, doing anything that takes her outside and into nature, whether it's in Belize, Utah, or wherever else she happens to be.

Angi is the first and last person you'll see at Sol Spa. She is the heart of our space. She's been making people's nails beautiful since she started at the spa in 2006. She's originally from Orange Walk, moving to the island to create a good life for herself and only son, J.R.
We are so lucky to have such a solid and hard working person at Sol Spa.
Jean received her education at Cuyahoga Community College with an associates degree in Massotherapy, from 2009-2011. She's certified in pre/post natal massage, cold stone therapy for migraines and in the Bowen Therapy for frozen shoulder and tennis/golf elbow, besides the traditional therapeutic and deep tissue techniques.
When Jean is not at the spa she likes to be on the sea, paddle boarding, swimming, reading or working out and traveling.
Natasha graduated Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2013 earning over 900 credit hours. She studied numerous techniques, including sports injury, deep tissue, accupressure, to name a few. She's been working at Sol Spa ever since her graduation.
Besides helping people heal, she is passionate about traveling to far away places and about meeting new and interesting people.
